I have recently finished this piece, which should be getting turned into a limited edition print by a company called Stupid Krap. More news to follow on that.
Until then here is the underpainting and the finished piece.
The painting of my most recent commission is now finished, so I thought I’d share it.
I still need to oil it out and varnish it. But for all intents and purposes, it’s done and can now be shown.
As usual here are some shots of the Grisaille Underpainting and the final coloured painting.
This is 12″ x 12″ Oil on Canvas
Well, as I was overseas in Italy and the UK when the Doctor Who 50th anniversary took place this seems a little late. Tom Baker is in my humble opinion the best Doctor ever.
This is just a quick piece to get back into the swing of things after doing no art for the past 6 weeks.
The first detail image was taken this morning after about half an hour extra work, the second image was taken last night under artificial light. All up about 8 hours work so far.
First up, it has a long while since I last updated this blog.
I have been doing lot’s of artwork. Just not the iconic:a stuff.
5 extremely talented ex-colleagues of mine have started a Kickstarter campaign for their new video game project. The creator of Syndicate Wars is Kickstarting a new Syndicate successor.
They are off to a flying start and have almost a 3rd of the required funding pledged already, so this is well on it’s way to becoming a reality. I am involved in a very small way, as I will be commissioned to produce some one off paintings of the concept art/characters from the game for the higher tier investors if the project reaches it’s goal.
I completed an example piece of the Hammerhead character for the launch. Here are some images of the underpainting and the final piece.
