Pop Art done well

Stormtrooper 18″ x 18″ Oil on Canvas

This is fresh off the easel this morning. It has been oiled out and is awaiting the final coat of varnish once it is fully dry.

This piece is 18″ x 18″ Oil on canvas and is available for purchase if anyone is interested.
Just head over to the available work section of the blog.

Jabba in Adidas (Version II)

I have recently finished this piece, which should be getting turned into a limited edition print by a company called Stupid Krap. More news to follow on that.

Until then here is the underpainting and the finished piece.

Docotor Who #4 Commission is now finished

The painting of my most recent commission is now finished, so I thought I’d share it.
I still need to oil it out and varnish it. But for all intents and purposes, it’s done and can now be shown.

As usual here are some shots of the Grisaille Underpainting and the final coloured painting.

This is 12″ x 12″ Oil on Canvas

Wonderwoman commission

I haven’t been able to post this until now. Here are some images of a Wonderwoman commission I recently finished.

Doctor Who #4 – WIP

Well, as I was overseas in Italy and the UK when the Doctor Who 50th anniversary took place this seems a little late. Tom Baker is in my humble opinion the best Doctor ever.
This is just a quick piece to get back into the swing of things after doing no art for the past 6 weeks.

The first detail image was taken this morning after about half an hour extra work, the second image was taken last night under artificial light. All up about 8 hours work so far.

Dead Scary Opening Night

As I have been overseas in the UK and Italy for the past 5 weeks, I haven’t had a chance to post these images from the show opening.

My three pieces were all very well received and each have new homes.

“Dead Scary” Group show

First up, it has a long while since I last updated this blog.
I have been doing lot’s of artwork. Just not the iconic:a stuff.

Next week I’ll have three paintings taking part of the “Dead Scary” Group show at Lust for Life, here in Brisbane.

I have just this very day finished the underpainting for the “Nosferatu” piece for the show. I just need to sign it, add a little colour to the moon icon and varnish it.
