I’m a Brisbane based artist, working mainly in the medium of oil paints.

This blog and the work shown here is a vehicle for me to learn and get to grips with painting in a style which nod’s to the Flemish and Venetian methods of Oil painting.
I have found that this way of working really suits me, and I just wish i had become familiar with it sooner.

The bulk of the work here is what some may regard as “Low Brow” subject matter. However thankfully for many others it is subject matter that they can relate to and appreciate.
I could have been painting landscapes or still lives or bowls of fruit. But that would have bored me to tears. Hopefully the work I do hear others will find appealing, and will allow me to
grow as an artist with each new piece.
